The County is transitioning to the NEW and exciting "Clear the Curb" standard bulky collection service and roll-out of the new user-friendly PGC311 Service Request Online application service.

Bulky Trash curbside collection is a service provided by Prince George’s County to remove oversized household items. Starting February 14, 2022, the County is rolling out a faster and improved curbside bulky trash collection pickup service that will allow residents to set out two (2) bulky items or (2) two tightly secured bags per week with their regular trash for pickup by the County’s trash hauler. Residents who do not receive County contracted collections services and who only pay and receive bulky trash removal service will still need to schedule an appointment by calling PGC311. Due to the transition, the availability to schedule services online will be temporarily disabled for approximately three weeks while the new and improved online application is being launched.

Please use this LINK to determine if you receive trash collection services from Prince George’s County. If your address includes a day of the week for trash service, that means you ARE in the County’s trash collection program and, therefore, you will not need to make an appointment for regular bulky pickup, but rather be able to set out two (2) standard bulky items next to your trash cart on your regularly scheduled trash collection day starting the week of February 14, 2022. If your address shows "No Service" for trash and recycling you will need to call PGC311 to schedule an appointment.

Note: White goods (large appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, stoves and dishwashers) and scrap tires, are NOT considered standard bulky items; therefore, you will schedule collection of these items via the online scheduling tool above.

Please review a complete list of acceptable/unacceptable bulky items HERE

If you live in a gated community and need a code to access your sub-division, please call PGC311 to schedule your appointment. This process will ensure that your access code remains private and allow the hauler's entrance to collect your bulky items.

Effective February 1, 2019, for the health and safety of collection crew employees, mattresses and box springs set out at the curb for collection must be encased in a protective plastic covering. Mattresses and box springs delivered to the landfill by residents are not required to be covered in the protective encasement. Plastic zippered mattress covers are available at local retail stores for a nominal fee.

If you already have an appointment, to check the date, at the top of this page, enter your address, the owner's last name, and then click "Check Availability". The pickup history will display towards the bottom of the page.
